Mary Schwarz Reichart Pfluger
Mrs. Mary Pfluger, 78, of R. 4 Chilton, died early today at a Manitowoc Hospital where she had been a patient for 11 days. She had been in ill health for the past 1 1/2 years.
Born in the town of Charlestown on July 25, 1880, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Schwartz, and was married to Albert Richart on Nov. 22, 1906, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Charlestown. He died in 1939. Her second marriage was to Anton Pfluger who died in 1945.
Survivors are two children, George of Hilbert, Mrs. Frederick Groh of rural Chilton; three brothers, Mike and George of Chilton, Andrew of Hilbert; two half brothers, Conrad Buhl of West Bend, Gustav Buhl of Chilton; three sisters, Sister Mary Camillia, OSF of Hartford, Mrs. Joseph Daun and Mrs. Peter Geiser, both of Chilton; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Three daughters, one son and a brother also preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home in Chilton and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton where she was a member of the Christian Mother Society.
The Rev. Joseph Bartleme, pastor, will be the celebrant of the Requiem Mass and burial will be in St. Anna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday and the Rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
